Rec Rowing (Grades 5 - 8)
Start Strong, Have Fun, Build Confidence
Our Rec (Begginer) Rowing Program is the perfect entry point for students in grades 5–8 who are curious about rowing and want to try something new in a safe, supportive, and exciting environment.
This skills-based, fun-focused program introduces young athletes to rowing fundamentals while helping them build water confidence, teamwork, and a love for the sport. No experience is necessary—just bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
What to Expect

Hands-on instruction in basic rowing technique

Fun group sessions that build balance, coordination, and confidence

Supportive coaching and encouragement from high school mentors

A chance to explore rowing before joining our Middle School or U15 teams
At the end of the season, rowers will have the opportunity to participate in a friendly and exciting Intrasquad Race and/or Fall Middle School Race, supported by our high school rowers and coaches. It’s a great celebration of progress and fun!

Next Steps
As rowers develop, they may be invited to move up to our Middle School or U15 programs, either at the end of the season or upon recommendation by a coach.
